Kick off your break by heading to the Cité de l'Espace for a journey to edge of the Universe. The 360° screen at the Planetarium literally plunges you into Outer Space, whilst the 3D IMAX cinema and its 6-story high screen guarantees you big thrills and unforgettable memories. Younger children haven't been overlooked either, thanks to the Stellarium and its animated short films.
Summer tipps : every thursday evening the Cité de l'espace opens it's garden for a special Nocturnes programme until 11pm, observing the sky through a telescope with astronomers, enjoy the current Moon : epiosde II exhibition and special activities dediacted to Mars.
Toulouse is the city of Airbus. The Aeroscopia Museum is an extraordinary playground and, on its tarmac, you can explore Concorde, the A400M military aircraft, the impressive Super Guppy, an airplane designed to transport other airplanes (actually, parts of airplanes)! Take your seat aboard a simulator and pilot an aircraft. Discover how the various parts of an aircraft are assembled, learn about the different trades that are involved in the world of aeronautics and create your very own family airline! Since march, visitors are able to step in the double-deck A380.
Come back down to earth at Le Muséum. Where does Mankind come from? What is biodiversity? What is an earthquake? Discover the breathtaking display of the skeleton wall: 75 skeletons set within a wall of glass 6 metres high. Here, everything is designed for you to learn whilst having fun. To astound and amaze children and parents alike, rendezvous at The Halle de La Machine to see the immense Minotaur and his servant, the Giant Spider...here you explore the world of the Veritable Machinists of the La Machine Company. You can step into the temple that rests on the back of the Minotaur for a stroll into the heart of the Montaudran quarter to see close up how the machinists work this gigantic puppet. Summer tipps : La Halle de La Machine is launching its second Halle Night Long edition with a series of free concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings from July 17 to September 12.
This summer Granhota offers canoeing trips on the Garonne river from Toulouse city center. For €12/person the hour, every day till September 15, rent a maneuverable two-seater boat. You'll be able to make a loop on the river while discovering cultural infos and the best spots for photos.

Visit with the kids
Tour the city aboard the little tourist train and enjoy the audio-guide commentary that is available in several languages.
