From the late Middle Ages to the early XX Century
Created by Argentinian philanthropist Georges Bemberg, the foundation provides a panorama of Western art from the end of the Middle Ages to the XX Century, through collections on display in old-fashioned salons, surrounded by period furniture.
It offers an artistic overview of western art from the late Middle Ages right up to the XX Century. The first floor is arranged in salons in the Renaissance and XVIII Century style, where furniture and objet d'art combine, bringing the period interiors back to life.
The second floor is devoted to impressionist and post-impressionist painting. Don’t miss the room dedicated to Pierre Bonnard, which stands out thanks to its 35 tableaux.
From April to October, a tea room opens its doors beneath the Renaissance loggia, where you can enjoy the view of the courtyard of honour!
