Cycling is a very practical and eco-friendly way to get around Toulouse. More than 600km of cycling facilities and 300km of cycle paths allow both experienced and novice cyclists to get around in complete safety.
Toulouse is an ideal destination for those who like to take the time to cycle around. Discover the historic streets of the city centre or enjoy the banks of the Garonne or the Canal du Midi along the old towpath, cross the Pont-Neuf...the city reveals itself with each turn of the wheel. Don't worry if you’re not very fit: most of our cycle paths are easy to ride. And if you want to try a route with a bit more of an incline, you can hire an electric bike very easily.

VélôToulouse : self-service bike hire
You don't need to own your own bike to enjoy cycling in Toulouse. With self-service bike hire, VélôToulouse offers more than 280 stations throughout the city. The bike hire service is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
One-day and seven-day tickets are available. For longer term users, subscription packages are also available.

Cycling is a very pleasant and practical way to visit Toulouse, but it also allows you to go on beautiful nature trails in Toulouse.
There is of course the path along the Canal du Midi. In the shade of plane trees, this is a quiet ride that is accessible to all thanks to the track, which is in very good condition for the section located in the Haute-Garonne.
