From March to June, cruises start mainly on the Canal du Midi. Built under the reign of Louis XIV, it’s one of the oldest canals in Europe still in operation. You will discover the history of this amazing and majestic Canal as well as that of its designer Pierre Paul Riquet.
From July to October, cruises start on the Garonne and the Canal de Brienne. In the past, this route was used to transport not only wood but also marble from the Pyrenees and to ship woad. The Garonne is also reknown for its devastating floods which have marked the history. With stunning views of the Dôme de Lagrave and the Pont Neuf, you will sail on this river rich in history.
Places of departure: Quai de la Daurade, Port St Sauveur or Port de l’Embouchure depending on the season (get more information at the Tourist Office).
