MUSEE DEPARTEMENTAL DE LA RESISTANCE ET DE LA DEPORTATION
At this remembrance site, we are reminded of the drama of the Second World War through documents, photographs, objects... We discover the weapons, both real and figurative, used by the Resistance.
A history museum, this venue also aims to commemorate and educate the public.
The 2nd floor is home to a permanent exhibition. The Resistance room is devoted to the struggles of resistance fighters and deportees, as well as daily life in the Haute-Garonne during World War II, whilst the Deportation room is set up as a Nazi concentration camp remembrance site.
Temporary exhibitions with original themes complete the trail.
Up until the end of September the « Yesterday’s children, Today’s teens » exhibition shows how children lived the war and the aspects that make them so similar to ourselves.
