To visit this museum is to realize how far medicine has come. From medieval obstetrics equipment to now forgotten instruments, we are a little reassured by so much evolution!
Located in the Espace Jean-de-Rudelle, at the entrance of the Hôtel Dieu Saint-Jacques, a former hospital classified by UNESCO since 1998, this museum presents a collection of objects from the second half of the 19th century to nowadays.
They have been selected from a collection of more than 3,000 hospital objects and instruments representing several surgical disciplines, and are associated with everyday objects of hospital life.
This visit is also an opportunity to visit the Museum of the History of Medicine, which is located on the same premises, and to discover the heritage rooms and the chapel of the Hôtel Dieu and its beautiful gardens (please note that access is not free)
