This museum displays collections of objects dating from the second half of the 19th Century to the present day. They originate from a larger collection made up of more than a thousand hospital items and instruments from several surgical disciplines along with the usual daily items used in everyday hospital life. These instruments were collected by Dr. André Graulle, former anaesthesiologist for the Toulouse hospitals and main donor. This collection is regularly added to thanks to the numerous members of the “Association des Amis de l'Hôtel-Dieu Saint-Jacques et de la Grave” and other individuals.
