MUSEE DU COMPAGNONNAGE
The frames of fairy houses, scaled down models of staircases and even a dress made of cast iron: you can find some really quirky masterpieces in this museum where you are welcomed by little rabbits!
The former HQ of the guild of carpenters currently displays works created by young guild members during their apprenticeship. Most of the items on show are made of wood, but you can also admire the work of other craft guilds, most notably wrought iron craftsmen.
The exterior of the venue also warrants a second glance, with its superb balcony and little sculpted rabbits on the walls, the symbol of young guild members because they are capable of listening to their masters thanks to their large ears.
To find out more, don’t hesitate to ask to the people who manage the museum questions. Former guild members themselves, they speak passionately about their craft and the items on display.
