The RugbyWorld Cup 2023

Toulouse will host 5 Rugby World Cup matches in 2023. Although the rugby capital is a staunch supporter of its Stade Toulousain team, which is the country’s most successful thanks to its 5 victories in the European Cup, it is also a fervent supporter of the French national team, which boasts a great many Toulouse locals in its ranks.

So, if you want to experience the passion of rugby in 2023, head to Toulouse!

Toulouse, the capital of the oval ball, is a city that knows how to party. From pre-match to the third half, Toulouse is certainly the ideal destination to follow the events of the forthcoming Rugby World Cup.

Le Stadium de Toulouse

All Rugby World Cup matches are played at Le Stadium de Toulouse, easily accessible from the city centre by public transport and shuttle buses.

Located on the Ile du Ramier, in the middle of the River Garonne, the venue holds 33,500 spectators.

It is the venue for major international sporting events and has already hosted matches in the 1998 Football World Cup, and two previous editions of the Rugby World Cup: in 1999, when the matches in Pool C were played in France, and in 2007.

Le Stadium is also the setting for major concerts, such as Michael Jackson's Dangerous World Tour in 1992 and Big Flo & Oli's concert in Toulouse in 2019.
